Access to safe, habitable, and affordable housing is more than a basic need -- it is a human right. The Urban League of San Diego County's Housing & Financial Empowerment Department offers a wide range of programs and services designed to address housing need, financial literacy barriers, and access to basic economic resources in low-income and otherwise vulnerable communities.

HOPE Program
HOPE, Housing Opportunities for Public Educators, the Teacher Housing Grant Program is a unique opportunity provided by Lennar Home construction company and Councilmember Marni von Wilpert designed to help certified educators teaching in San Diego Council District 5 achieve the dream of homeownership in San Diego County.
By offering financial assistance, mandatory counseling, and guidance through the homebuying process, this program ensures that teachers can focus on building their futures while contributing to their communities and live in the communities that they serve.
