Salary: 96 hours @ $50 per hour

Special Ed Teacher should feel comfortable interacting with young children and also be able to make decisions under pressure. Other responsibilities include educating campers, assisting in physical activities, planning activities, and improving the overall summer program experience. Destination Discovery is a 5 week summer program with an empahis in STEM! Hours are from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Porter Elmentary School.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist elementary aged students with summer school homework

• Lead field trips

• Maintain the cleanliess of site location

• Organizes program instructional activites

• Maintain an open and effective line of communications with site director, academic teachers, teaching assistants, site personell, parents and other related to program services

Required Education and Experience

• Must have a multi subject teaching credential

• Must have special ed certification

Additional Requirments

• Must receive a TB screening

• Pass a DOJ Background Check
